CURRICULUM VITAE

Emer O’ Brien was born in Dublin and raised in Toronto. Since 1998 she has lived and worked in London. An installation artist with a background in photography, she is best known for works that mediate on the redundancy of human artifacts when deserted by man. Recent large-scale installations chart the intersection of technology and science with the natural and supernatural while on going photographic work documents the passing of time through absence, memory and loss. She is currently represented in the UK by Christian Ferreira at the Wapping Project.
